Hi, I'm Danielle! I'm a fully qualified and a fully insured Veterinary Physiotherapist, covering Wiltshire and surrounding areas.

After 6 years at University, and gaining a BSc (Hons) in Bio-Veterinary Science and a PgD in Veterinary Physiotherapy, I went straight into working for a small animal hospital, where I became the head physiotherapist, covering treatments for outpatients and inpatients. Here, I was lucky to have worked alongside specialist orthopaedic and neurological surgeons, gaining invaluable experience into post-op and emergency rehabilitation.

I started McMahon Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2018, with the aim to be able to give patients and their owners a more 1-on-1 experience, without the pressure of a clinic environment. This gave more time for me to learn about your pet, deliver a stress free treatment and talk through the tailored treatment plan.

McMahon Veterinary Physiotherapy soon become an award winning and highly rated business, winning animal therapist of the year 2022.

When I'm not working, I enjoy working and walking my two Labradors, Oakley and Todd and enjoying adventures in the old Land rover, with the canoe and paddleboard strapped to the roof.

What is Veterinary Physiotherapy?

Veterinary Physiotherapy is a science and evidence based profession specialising in the assessment and treatment of animals to play a vital role in the rehabilitation of injuries, diseases and musculoskeletal abnormalities both orthopeadic and neurological.

A range of modalities are used to promote, restore and maintain the animals physical function as well as their emotional well-being - with an over all aim to improve their qaulity of life

Danielle will use her broad knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics and physiology combined with aetiology of the animals conidtion to acheive a tailored treatment programme to suit the individual.

The time is taken to learn your animals personality and to cater towards their emotional needs as well their health. Working with fear free principles we aim to reduce fear, stress and anxiety throughout the session.
